Tasting Notes
Bruno Lafon's day job is at Domaine de Comte Lafon, one of the best White Burgundy producers in Meursault. His family's estate produces some of the best Chardonnay in the world. This project is a little different as he is sourcing fruit from growers in the Languedoc who are farming sustainably and producing honest and approachable wines like this cool white blend under his Les Fleurs label.
It's a blend of Vermentino (30%), Sauvignon Blanc (10%) and Grenache Blanc (60%) and all aged in stainless steel keeping the wine fresh and crisp. The Vermentino and Grenache Blanc round out the palate and add texture to the wine while the Sauvignon Blanc adds some acid to lift and tighten the wine up. A really fun blend. - Pete L
