Tasting Notes
Bruno Lafon's day job is at Domaine de Comte Lafon, one of the best White Burgundy producers in Meursault. His family's estate produces some of the best Chardonnay in the world. This project is a little different as he is sourcing fruit from growers in the Languedoc who are farming sustainably and producing honest and approachable wines like this red blend he's crafted. The wine consists of Grenache (10%), Cinsault (80%) and Syrah (10%) and is all aged in stainless steel and very lightly extracted so it's still quite a fresh and lighter wine. The wine features a spectrum of red and blue fruits with little savoury herbal hints but is not over ripe. Definitely one you could served chilled too. - Pete L
