Burklin Wolf Trocken Riesling 2023

Founded in 1597 in Wachenheim, in Germany’s Pfalz region, Dr. Bürklin-Wolf is one of the country’s most historic and highly regarded wine estates. Today the domaine spans around 85 hectares, including some of the most celebrated vineyard sites in the Mittelhaardt such as Kirchenstück, Gaisböhl, Pechstein and Ungeheuer. The estate has adopted a Burgundian-inspired classification system, with wines released as Estate, Village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru bottlings.

Since 1990, Bettina Bürklin-von Guradze has led the estate into a new era, pioneering organic and then biodynamic viticulture, with certification achieved in 2005. Harvesting is carried out by hand, with whole-bunch pressing and spontaneous fermentations, and élevage in large traditional Stück oak casks that allow the individual terroirs to shine.

Dr. Bürklin-Wolf has become a reference point for dry Riesling, producing wines of crystalline purity, precise minerality and remarkable ageing capacity. Across the range, the estate expresses the depth and diversity of the Pfalz’s vineyards with clarity and finesse, securing its place among Germany’s most important producers.
