Tasting Notes
A collaboration between Casale and Italian wine importer Giorgio de Maria. This is packed full of rustic charm and feels like an old school Chianti as you don't get a wine thats framed in oak that feels manufactured and "flashy"... This is all about the fruit and the place it comes from. This is a fresher, less extracted style of Chianti that's aged in cement and old large format chestnut casks that captures the aroma of bright red fresh cherries on the nose and palate. There is a herbal edge (roasting herbs) that adds savouriness and balances the juicy red fruit characters. - Pete L
