You don't see a lot of Calabrian wine in Australia, let alone good quality Calabrian wine, but this wine caught my attention. One of the southern most regions in Italy where the sun dominates the landscape along with big ripe wines to match. This is anything but big though. Planted on the limestone slopes of Ciro, this 100% Gaglioppo shows plenty of juicy red fruits accompanied by crunchy, mouthwatering acidity that only limestone soils could attain. Chill slightly in hotter climates. Just delicious! - Chris L
