Catlow & Company's Beechworth Shiraz is a vibrant and elegant expression of cool-climate Shiraz, often made in a Northern Rhône style. The wine is the "side project" of talented winemaker Chris Catlow (also known for his Sentio label), who sources grapes from carefully selected high-altitude vineyards in Beechworth and other regions across Victoria. The Beechworth fruit typically comes from elevated sites on granite soils which contribute to the wine's distinct minerality and structure. - Chris L
Catlow & Company is the "side" project of Chris Catlow (Sentio), one of Beechworth’s most talented young winemakers. The grapes for these wines are mostly sourced from Beechworth and King Valley, with a splattering from other regions. There is a focus on precision, balance and a clear sense of place, Chris works with select high-altitude vineyards to craft wines that are pure, textural and quietly expressive of the region. His approach is thoughtful and unhurried, letting the fruit speak with clarity—always detailed, always true to Beechworth.
