Tasting Notes
This '1L Blouge' is the fun one. The name is blanc and rouge squished together, which tells you exactly what is going on here: a wine that sits somewhere between a white and a light red, bottled in the same one-litre format as the Blanc. It is made with native yeasts and a very gentle hands, light extraction, then aged in amphora, so it stays light, pure and full of energy. You get bright red fruit, a bit of floral and herbal lift, a saline edge and the finest, silkiest tannins. Juicy, easy to drink and best served with a good chill on it. This is the biodynamic, low-intervention side of Lafitte having a bit of fun, so don't overthink it, just pour it. - Pete L
