The '1L Blanc' is the easy drinking end of the Château Lafitte range, and as the name says, it comes in a one litre bottle, because this is a wine built for drinking rather than staring at. It sits outside the appellation rules, vinified with minimal intervention in concrete egg to keep all the energy and freshness in the fruit. Expect crisp orchard fruit, a touch of citrus and a saline tang, all carried along by bright, lively acidity. It is exactly what an everyday white should be, pure and honest and seriously easy to drink, and it is all backed by proper organic and biodynamic farming. - Pete L
