Tasting Notes
The 'Sec is another dry Jurançon from Antoine Arraou at Château Lafitte. The fruit is picked late, but where most of the region uses that ripeness to push into sweet wine, Arraou takes it the other way and keeps this bone dry. It is gently fermented and aged in large format barrels, so it builds real texture without ever tasting of oak. You get a bit of fresh bread and softly candied fruit on the nose, then a palate that is round and generous but kept honest by lovely fresh acidity. Long, precise and built for the table. A seriously smart dry white that will challenge your perception of the region. - Pete L
