Tasting Notes

Luke Lambert is a gun! It's mind blowing how he can produce this phenomenal Shiraz at this price. Elegant Yarra Shiraz with a Northern Rhone feel. Smells of dusty blueberries and a sweet yet savoury touch from spices, like cinnamon and nutmeg. Loved the mouthfeel; medium weight with blue fruits and fine chalky mouth-coating tannins. The feel probably aided by whole bunch ferment. 13.5% alc. - Michael L

For clarity, the Crudo wines are Luke Lambert's second label. The wines represent exceptional value and are not to be underestimated. They are excellent!

"We are a family run winery located in the Yarra Valley in Victoria, Australia.  We acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands on which we live and work, the Wurundjeri and Taungurung people of the Kulin nation and pay our respects to elders past and present. We also acknowledge that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have been practicing farming and sustainable land management for over 60,000 years.

We source all our fruit from Denton View Hill vineyard.  Denton is located near Yarra Glen in the northern part of the Yarra Valley.

All wines are single vineyard, handpicked, wild yeast fermented and bottled without fining or filtration. We use large French and Slavonian oak foudre for maturation of all wines.

In 2017 we acquired a block in Glenburn just north of the Yarra Valley and in 2019/20 we planted a 5 acre Nebbiolo vineyard named Sparkletown."

Inky dark, enchanting and well rounded purple blue fruits peer up out of it. Black olive and a gentle graphite come out swinging nearer the end. The label lulls you into a sense of simplicity, the wine suggests that if this is simple, why have we been making it so hard
