Tasting Notes
Damien Coquelet is part of the new wave of French producers responsible for the new wave of interest in Beaujolais. He's lucky enough to have had a very good teacher as his step father is George Descombes, one of the top winemakers in the region. This undergoes a 7 day carbonic maceration in concrete and is then aged for an extended period in concrete. It's a bright and juicy gamay packed with fresh, strawberries, cherries, blackberries with a touch of spice. - Pete L
