Tasting Notes
This is a blend of predominantly Chardonnay with the balance made of Pinot Meunier. Packed with all the citrus, and hard orchard fruits you would expect from the Chardonnay while the Meunier adds some more exotic fruit and spice to the mix. Very gourmet. - Pete L
The Delouvin and Nowack families have been associated with Champagne for generations as grape growers back when the large house controlled the market and also as coopers producing barrels for the large houses. In the 1930s they began to estate bottle their wines and over the ages the estate has passed through the hands of many family members.
It's latest incarnation is under the control of Geoffrey Delouvin who has modernised the range whilst taking advantage of their multi decade solera to build powerful, oxidative, saline and extremely complex Champagnes.
