Tasting Notes
Dolin Red Vermouth is a classic French aperitif from Chambéry, the only region in France with an appellation d'origine contrôlée (A.O.C.) for vermouth. Crafted since 1821, it features a base of fine wines infused with over 50 alpine herbs and botanicals, including coriander, hyssop, rhubarb, and curaçao.
This vermouth presents a lustrous coppery color and offers gentle aromas of fruit compote, prunes, and walnuts, complemented by grassy notes and spices like Szechwan pepper. On the palate, it reveals flavors of almond, citrus, pear, and cinnamon, with hints of gingerbread, tobacco, oregano, and hyssop. Its balanced sweetness and subtle bitterness make it ideal for classic cocktails like the Manhattan and Negroni, or enjoyed over ice as a refined aperitif. - Aaron C
