Tasting Notes
100% Pinot Noir, from 20-year-old vines farmed biodynamically and planted on granite soils over white and red quartz. In the winery: grapes are transferred to barrels, macerated for 12 days, followed by a gentle pressing to preserve the fruit, then 1 year of maturation in 400-l oak barrels that have seen four wines. Neither fined nor filtered, with a light dose of sulfur at bottling.
This is a superb Pinot Noir; I blind picked the 2019 previously as Gevrey! It is a special wine that has great complexity and mouthfeel, and it is richer and wild fruited for Pinot Noir but has impeccable balance! Super wine. – Importer Note
