Tasting Notes
This Bourgogne Blanc from Domaine de la Vougeraie is anything but simple. Sourced from family vineyards across the Côte de Beaune, it bursts out of the glass with ripe peach, golden apple and a little squeeze of lemon, backed by a touch of toasty oak and a faint whiff of smoke. The palate is round and generous, carrying plenty of juicy fruit with a creamy feel, balanced by just the right amount of freshness. The finish hangs around with savoury notes and a gentle nuttiness. It’s rich and satisfying, yet easy to enjoy — a white Burgundy that has plenty of character without taking itself too seriously. - Peter L
