Tasting Notes
Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes Rouge is produced from ancient vines located on the north side of the village and often incorporates fruit from the Les Evocelles site. It typically sees 25% to 33% new oak and undergoes a long aging process to refine its naturally powerful character. The wine is deep ruby in color and complex aromas of cassis, griotte cherry, violet, and loamy soil, delivering a medium-to-full-bodied palate with velvety tannins and a long finish. - Chris L
