70-year-old Chardonnay vines, on dry scree with very deep Lias gray marl. The vineyard has been in conversion to organics since Cedric took over. Manual harvest and fermentation in stainless steel with upbringing on fine lees in Burgundy barrels.
A crystalline wine with remarkable minerality, exceptional drinkability and a strong personality, with an aromatic centered on citrus zests, fermentation aromas, and even gunflint notes. For a first vintage, it's amazing! And this is a great illustration of the concept of minerality in wine. - Importer Note
