Tasting Notes
The Durochés have two plots by Griotte-Chambertin, on very limestone soil, and two small alluvial plots in lower Charmes close to Mazoyères, all fermented together. Dense mid purple, there is more concentration here, plenty of charming fruit up front but with more backbone than sometimes. Fine balance between fruit, tannin and acidity, with a clean long finish where the fruit keeps growing. Some eggs in use as well as barrels here. Drink from 2030-2037. 94-96 POINTS, JASPER MORRIS, INSIDE BURGUNDY
Since 1825, the Faiveley family has always cultivated the vineyards with the greatest respect for its terroirs in Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. Its goal is to propose the very best wines that Burgundy can offer. They characterize high quality and unique diversity. Each bottle of Grand Cru or Premier Cru is the faithful reflection of these values. - Winery Note
