Tasting Notes
The Gevrey-Chambertin Village Rouge from Domaine Duroche is the estate's signature wine. It’s crafted from an assembly of approximately 10 to 12 distinct plots totaling 3 hectares of vines. Sourced primarily from cooler sites behind the church in Gevrey-Chambertin and parcels on the Brochon side—including Le Fourneau, Reniard, and En Champs—this cuvée is pure and polished. Fresh raspberry, wild cherry, and floral notes like violets and a light earthy, ferrous minerality. It’s succulent, balancing a crunchy red-fruit texture with lively acidity and fine, silky tannins. Unlike many entry-level village wines, it maintains a structured and energetic. - Chris L
Since 1825, the Faiveley family has always cultivated the vineyards with the greatest respect for its terroirs in Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. Its goal is to propose the very best wines that Burgundy can offer. They characterize high quality and unique diversity. Each bottle of Grand Cru or Premier Cru is the faithful reflection of these values. - Winery Note
