Tasting Notes
From limestone and sandstone slopes near Rouffach in southern Alsace, Pierres Sèches shows the precision and texture that define the Muré family’s style. The nose offers ripe pear, quince and white peach, layered with acacia, almond and a touch of smoky minerality. On the palate, it is rounded yet poised, with juicy stone fruit balanced by fresh acidity and a fine, chalky structure that gives shape and length. Subtle sweetness is offset by a savoury, saline edge, leading to a clean, persistent finish. A refined and expressive Pinot Gris that captures both generosity and clarity. - Chris L
