Syrah grown in Gamay country... say what?! That's right, this is Syrah (or Shiraz) grown in the hills of Beaujolais and it's a great example of the variety in it's own style. Red fruited but with plenty of savoury energy that needs time in a decanter to open and evolve, or better yet a year or two in bottle. Drank 16/3/19. - Chris L
