Sourced from old-vine Grenache, Carignan and Syrah, this wine shows a deep yet vivid red colour and a bouquet layered with crushed raspberry, wild herbs and garrigue. The palate is rich and seductive, with a supple, almost oily texture from the old vines, carried by fine-grained tannins. Bright cherry fruit and a touch of spice lift the finish, which spreads gracefully and leaves a lasting sense of harmony. An outstanding example of southern French character. - Pete L
