Tasting Notes
Cahors Malbec is a beautiful hidden gem amongst red wines wine! And this biodynamic, amphore-made version is a fine version. Red and blue fruits, light bush, spice hints and a beautiful sour hint in the mouth. Good acidity support too, without the alcohol hit (12.5%). Overall there's a lightness on your tongue. Grows in complexity and intensity with a longer decanting. Food fit - anything with meats included. Vibrant! Michael L
An AOC wine, it is made from 40-year-old malbec (côt) vines certified organic and biodynamic (Demeter), grown on iron-limestone soils at 350 m.a.s.l. The hand-harvested fruit is de-stemmed and fermented approximately 30 days in concrete tanks and aged for 6 months in 800 litre amphorae. - Importer Note
