Tasting Notes
This is a Cotes du Rhone that sits on the more powerful side of things with riper darker fruits, long guiding tannins that give the fruit structure and is enhanced with subtle hints of roasting herbs that add complexity to the wine. It's a blend of Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah (40%, 40% and 20%) that gets aged in a mixture of oak and stainless steel. Its a a great mid week wine or BYO option if you are looking for something that is a crowd pleaser. - Pete L
The Famille Perrin is the leading organic wine grower of the Southern Rhône Valley where they occupy some of the regions best terroirs. The label "Famille Perrin" is all about approachable and affordable wines, so if you're looking for something more special I'd recommend turning to their Chateau de Beaucastel wines from the Southern Rhone. These Famille Perrin wines, however, represent what's great about Cotes du Rhone Rouge and Cotes du Rhone Blanc - value!
