Tasting Notes
A lovely pure Sangiovese from the Bacchereto estate in Carmignano, grown up around 250 to 300 metres and made about as traditionally as it gets. Picked by hand in early October, fermented in concrete with wild yeasts and left well alone through a year in seasoned oak, no fining or filtering in sight. What you get is bright and ruby with fresh, lifted red fruit, then a palate that's dry, juicy and vibrant with just a bit of gentle structure. A proper weeknight red, the kind you open without a second thought. - Pete L
