Tasting Notes
One of the most interesting Australian Sauvignon Blanc I have tasted in the last year! A complex mouthful of stone fruits, with just a touch of tropical fruit - no overt passionfruit here. Really brought to life by the chalky mouthfeel and minerality. Unctuous. I drank the 1st glass without food, but it was even better with food - like a fresh salad with white meat or fish. Yarra. - Michael L
Simple winemaking, good drinking. That's what Anthony Fikkers aspires to. He sources small parcels of fruit from unique vineyards in the Yarra Valley and, with minimal intervention, crafts them into honest, affordable, 'smashable' wines.
