Tasting Notes
Le Vin du Rosier is a Zinfandel and Grenache blend, the two varieties picked and fermented separately and de-stemmed, 2 weeks on skins and pressed to stainless steel. The Zin brings dusty, chalky tannins around ripe bunches of red berry and cherry fruit, while the Grenache layers in some spice, brighter acidity and pomegranate with richer, fleshier fruit underneath. The result is a light, dangerously drinkable red jam packed with red berries, blood orange and a touch of campari, with soft tannins and bright, mouth-puckering acidity. Bistro style fun with enough complexity underneath to keep you interested. - Pete L
