Tasting Notes
This is an aromatic, lifted and spice driven Savagnin with notes of dried and preserved ginger, preserved lemon peel, nectarine and white plums. The natural acidity of the Savagnin frames and guides the wine across the palate. This is a very good new world rendition of one of my favourite French varieties. - Pete L
Born over a love of wine, travel and friendship, Foreign Friends was founded by sisters Leila and Crystal and close friend Juliette who met in Beechworth close to a decade ago.
Working in wine distribution as a rep, Juliette moved to Australia from France in 2016 where the trio then met in Beechworth, a special childhood place for Leila and Crystal. Spent together were many vintages, family holidays and harvest parties, from which Foreign Friends was brought to life.
Our vision is simple - to bring all friends, old and new, together over a bottle of wine. From handcrafted wines to curated travel experiences, we invite you to join us on a journey that transcends borders and embraces the richness of different cultures and moments in time. Wherever you find yourself, our friendship travels.
