Tasting Notes
Excellent value, interesting, natural Chardonnay from Bob Colman. The fruit s sourced from the high altitude vineyards of Orange and the wine has a little bit of ouille Jura about it. What's 'ouille'? It means that the barrels are topped up unlike some of the more traditional Jura white wines which are left 'sous voile' or not topped up, giving them an oxidative, nutty character that can be quite challenging. This wine, however, is fresh, bright and full of energy. No new oak. Just pristine Chardonnay fruit made well. - Chris L
