Tasting Notes
Cropped from a specific 0.5-acre plot of the Merricks Grove vineyard, Terre de Feu (the land of fire) takes its name from the vein of pure red ferrosol in this part of the vineyard. Barney had noticed the vines in this little ironstone patch always produced slightly smaller, more intense bunches with a juice of greater depth and concentration than the rest of the vineyard. This was the rationale for the 100% whole bunch ferment. - Winery Note
