Tasting Notes
A nice riper style of Sauvignon Blanc from Gareth Belton at Gentle Folk. The fruit is sourced from the Adelaide Hills and undergoes fermentation and full malolactic in old barrels, which adds a level of complexity in the way of texture and savouriness. Stone-fruits and tropicals (not grassy) are the over-riding characters though, with the palate being generous yet still poised and fresh. A nice rendition of Sauvignon Blanc and certainly the style I prefer to see. - Chris L
A love of wine, food and growing things eventually led us away from a vastly different background involving scuba gear and seaweed. Our winery is situated in the Basket Range of the Adelaide Hills where we try to intervene as little as possible in the growing and making of our wines. We farm a number of small parcels in Basket Range, Forest Range and Ashton. We don't like to define our styles or wine making techniques, we just make wine in the way we feel is right for the grapes and season and most importantly, with maximum drinkability and enjoyment in mind. We hope you enjoy. - Winery Note
