Tasting Notes
George Laval NV Extra-Brut Garennes offers a sumptuous, inviting experience, showcasing his hallmark textural depth. Lavish and vibrant Champagne dominated by the Pinot Meunier character. As it breathes, flavours of dried pear, hazelnut, and floral undertones unfurl gracefully. The Garennes continues to evolve in the glass as you work through the bottle. A beautiful journey. - Pete L
The Laval family boasts a four-generation legacy in Champagne, with estate-bottled wines dating back to the 1970s. Georges Laval, Vincent's father, initiated the domaine's wine bottling in 1971. Vincent officially joined the family enterprise in 1991 after completing his studies, and since 1996, he has led the estate.
Among their 2.5 hectares of vineyards, the Laval family owns and cultivates 2 hectares in Cumières and a half-hectare in Chembrecy, nestled in the Montagne de Reims.
