Tasting Notes
Barthod’s villages Chambolle-Musigny draws on a mosaic of parcels spread across the appellation, with vines averaging over 40 years of age. The holdings include sites both below the premiers crus, where the soils are lighter and more gravelly, and parcels higher on the slope with thinner topsoils over limestone. This diversity of terroirs—ranging from airy, delicate lieux-dits to more structured mid-slope plots—brings together a complete portrait of Chambolle: finesse, perfume, and underlying mineral depth. It is a wine that embodies the village’s hallmark elegance while echoing the precision and authenticity that define Ghislaine Barthod’s domaine. - Chris L
