Tasting Notes

This is truly a unique wine from a relatively obscure grape variety. Layers of red fruit - strawberry, raspberry, cherry mingle with dried roses, spice and ashy minerality and reduction. Light to medium bodied with a fine acid line and wonderful texture. Try this with some charcuterie and cheese! - Aaron C

Seriously worth attention

Every now and again you happen upon a wine that messes with your head. This is one such wine.
In the glass it appears distinctly red, but such a pale shade you can be lured into thinking (fearing) all that follows will echo pale.
Not so.
The nose carries the fragrance of fresh flowers (if fresh flowers produced cherries). Along with layers of leather and tobacco. The middle palate reveals ripe fruit that persists as the acid emerges and then fades on the edges of the tongue. The balance is as remarkable as it is surprising given it poured so light in the glass.
For context, I tasted it while eating slow cooked (home-grown) beef brisket. And I'll do both again. Often.
The wine was probably sitting at 15 degrees C when I enjoyed it, I'm unsure if it'd be the same experience at 5 degrees or 30 degrees.
