Tasting Notes

70% Garganega and 30% Trebbiano di Soave, from Monte Foscarino zone in Soave. Bright and fresh expression of the region here. It's dry and light, showing characters of citrus and fresh herbs. Take a bottle, it's good. - Chris L

Giuseppe Campagnola is a historic family-run winery based in Marano di Valpolicella, at the heart of the Veneto’s famed Amarone region. Founded in 1907, the estate has been guided through five generations by the Campagnola family, who remain committed to producing wines that express the tradition, craftsmanship and terroir of Valpolicella. Over the decades, Campagnola has grown from a small local cellar to one of the region’s leading producers, while maintaining a strong connection to its family roots and growers.

The winery sources fruit from carefully selected hillside vineyards across Valpolicella Classico, Valpantena and the wider Verona area. Their range includes Valpolicella Classico, Ripasso, Amarone and Recioto, alongside single-vineyard bottlings that highlight the region’s diverse soils and microclimates. Grapes are hand-harvested and air-dried for Amarone and Recioto in the traditional appassimento method, concentrating flavour and structure.

In the cellar, Campagnola blends traditional techniques with modern precision: long macerations, slow fermentations and maturation in a mix of large Slavonian oak casks and French barriques. The resulting wines are rich yet balanced, combining ripe fruit, spice and a hallmark elegance that defines the family’s style.

Today, Giuseppe Campagnola stands as a respected name in Valpolicella, representing both the heritage and continued evolution of one of Italy’s most storied wine regions.
