Matured exclusively in the finest Spanish Oloroso sherry casks, the Glendronach 18YO Allardice is a benchmark Highland single malt for lovers of rich, sherried whisky.
On the nose, it opens with deep aromas of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, treacle and dried fruits, layered with hints of walnut, leather and polished oak. The palate is full-bodied and indulgent, offering flavours of Christmas cake, sultanas, figs, spiced toffee and bitter orange, with an elegant balance of sweetness and dry nutty complexity from the long Oloroso maturation. The finish is lingering and warming, with echoes of cocoa, oak spice and dried fruit that unfold beautifully over time.
