Tasting Notes

Glenfarclas 12 is all Oloroso matured, but don't expect a sherry bomb. Around two thirds goes into first and second fill sherry casks and the rest into well used third and fourth fill, so the wood takes a back seat and the Speyside spirit does the talking. Expect honey, toffee, orange peel and a little nuttiness, with ginger snap and shortbread spice on the long finish. - Pete L
