Tasting Notes
A new producer from Murrumbateman, just down the road from Clonakilla. This is the debut Syrah release and it's a very start. This is medium bodied with red and blue fruits and lots of freshly cracked pepper and spice. It's a very smart wine for the price and sure to be a hit. - Pete L
The small Gounyan vineyard is located just outside Murrembateman in the Canberra District (NSW).the vineyard is owned and operated by Roger Johnstone and Deirdre Macken, and the wines are made by Alex McKay of Collector Wines. The vineyard is planted to Riesling, Shiraz/Syrah and Sangiovese on the classic granite soils of the region.
