Tasting Notes
A typical Vermentino nose of citrus and light stone fruits with some saltiness and white blossoms. The crisp acidity brings some liveliness to the richer body that the lees-ageing brings to this wine. This is drinking well now and would pair well with most seafood. Aaron C.
Introducing Gullyview Estate. This is the new project from Jono, formerly working with his brother Damon Koerner at Koerner Wines (whose wine we also love and stock as well) and his partner Megan Jenkins. Now focusing on his own project with heaps of experience under his belt, he has been able to produce some amazing wines at a fantastic price point.
Based in southern Clare Valley, these vineyards are located between an altitude of 350m-450m above sea level on Terra Rossa, red clay over limestone soils. The climate and nature of this site allows Jono to create wines with crisp acidity and elegance.
