Tasting Notes
A fantastic Clare Valley Riesling - this is a great one for those that are not fond of the petrol character that Clare Riesling can often pick up. This has a nose of lemon, lime, white flowers and crushed rocks with vibrant acidity, a nice lean body and a refreshing finish. Introducing Gullyview Estate. This is the new project from Jono, formerly working with his brother Damon Koerner at Koerner Wines (whose wine we also love and stock as well) and his partner Megan Jenkins. Now focusing on his own project with heaps of experience under his belt, he has been able to produce some amazing wines at a fantastic price point.
Based in southern Clare Valley, these vineyards are located between an altitude of 350m-450m above sea level on Terra Rossa, red clay over limestone soils. The climate and nature of this site allows Jono to create wines with crisp acidity and elegance.
