Tasting Notes
Cuvée Simone is named after one of the women who helped build Domaine Guy Amiot, the Chassagne family estate now into its fourth and fifth generations. It comes from a single hectare of old vines on clay and limestone, in Remigny and at the foot of the Chassagne slope. Cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry sit alongside rose, a little clove and that lovely damp earth and mushroom thing that only Burgundy does. Light, silky and fresh, and a dead set winner with roast chook or a mushroom risotto. - Pete L.
