Tasting Notes
Gru is a classic take on the Gruner Veltliner wines produced in Austria. Light and dry in style with a fruit profile of citrus and tangerine among a delicate pepper-like spice. The palate is also light with plenty of freshing acidity that pairs well with seafood dishes and even some lighter Asian cuisine. - Chris L
A fruit-backed faithful expression of Gruner from Adelaide Hills. Great acidity and notes of white peach, lemon, chamomile and white pepper. Would be fantastic with all kinds of foods from seafood to spicy Asian. - Aaron C.
Hahndorf Hill Winery is a boutique producer specialising in alternative wines, including Gruner Veltliner, Blaufrankisch and Zweigelt, which we are pioneering in Australia. We also produce the classic varieties for which the Adelaide Hills wine region is renowned - Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, cool-climate Shiraz and fresh rosé. - Winery Note
