Tasting Notes
This Adelaide Hills Pinot Grigio opens with quietly fresh tones of crisp apple, soft pear and light floral lift. The palate is bright and gentle, carrying its cool climate fruit with a smooth, subtle texture and a clean, refreshing line. It’s a graceful, easygoing style that stays lively and pure right through to the finish. - Aaron C
Hahndorf Hill is a cool-site Adelaide Hills winery founded by Larry Jacobs. The estate specialises in varieties that thrive in the Hills’ elevation and long, slow ripening, most notably Grüner Veltliner and Blaufränkisch, alongside Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc. The soils lean on sandstone-rich loam and clay over fractured rock, harvested by hand, cool fermented and handled with modest oak only where required, preserving aromatic lift, freshness and moderate alcohol elegance.
