The Pistus is the more youthful and vibrant expression of Mt Etna from I Custodi. A Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio red from the northern slopes of the volcano which produces wines with more savoury nuance and structure. A must try. Decant and serve. - Chris L
Mount Etna is a current darling of the Italian wine scene, and I Custodi is among the 21st-century Etna Renaissance producers who are now making wines as compelling as the active volcano’s cooled lava flows.
