Tasting Notes
Such a cool wine and a real head scratcher too. When you think about Georgian red wines (we all do right?) the expectation is big, heavy, rich, tannic monsters wines that would make you wish you had an iron curtain to hide behind in the morning.... This is not that kind of wine. It's like Marcel Lapierre had a Georgian cousin who was channeling the family tricks to produce a local version from one of the MANY Georgian grape varieties, in this case Aladasturi. There are lifted florals, cranberry, pomegranate, spice and that "crunchy" acidity that keeps everything fresh and lively. - Pete L
