Tasting Notes
An incredibly elegant and structured wine - this is Sangiovese at its best! A beautifully layered and complex nose showing strawberry and dried cherry notes, fused together with earth and spice. A wonderfully textured palate offers sour cherry, dried herbs and subtle oak with a smart acidity balanced against fine, dusty tannins. A superior example of Chianti Classico, and a wine that will age well too - if you can wait!! Enjoy with cured meats or tomato-based pasta dishes. - Felix G
A small Chianti house with a reputation for producing some of the purest, most classical wines in the region. The owner and winemaker, Paolo de Marchi has been described as almost maniacal in his attention to detail in both his vineyards and his wine production. Isole also produce their own 'Super Tuscan' called Cepparello which is usually 100% Sangiovese. This is regularly spoken about as one of Tuscany's finest and most elegant wines. - Importer Note
