Tasting Notes
Les Macherelles has a tense, flinty, almost Puligny-like bouquet, tightly wound at first but opening nicely in the glass. The palate is crisp and taut on the entry with touches of dried apricot and ginger, very good weight in the mouth with hints of walnut on the Meusault-like finish. This is a multifaceted Chassagne Montrachet with Puligny-like intention.
