Tasting Notes
I'll keep this one short. This is the best Australian Pinot Noir I've tried this year! Just kidding, this is going to be a long one. Jane is an Australian based in Burgundy but comes out to Australia to make a few wines each year - Mornington, Gippsland and Yarra is her focus. I had the pleasure of tasting the Gippsland and Yarra wines the other day and the Yarra Valley Pinot Noir hit it out of the park! I haven't seen a Pinot Noir from Australia that shows such complexity, nuance, perfume, savouriness, structure and just all-round delight since I drank the wines of Phillip Jones from Bass Phillip many moons ago. We'll be looking to try her range of Burgundy's when they are released in due course. - Chris L
This is a snapshot of what we're drinking ourselves right now. It's a little insight into what we love, from the weird and wonderful stuff, to the straight-up great value wines, and everything in between. So if you need some inspiration for what to drink tonight, why not take a leaf out of our book?
