Mitochondria are the energy power houses of all living cells, this is the rasta version. An energising rasta slurp! Barrel fermentation lusciouness, a big kids fruit juice. Early picked Foreman and Wood vineyard Shiraz, pressed whole bunch and fermented as juice with some carbonic thrown in. - Winery Note
James Erskine is a man with genuine passion for his wines and while that may not be unique in the wine world, James is one of the more uniquely creative people in the wine world that you are ever likely to meet. The grapes for this wine come from the Wood Vineyard planted by Ralph Wood in 1988 along the Clarendon Ridge in South Australia skirting the boundary of Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale. All the vines are grown organically without the use of additional water and remain on their original root-stock planted on sandy red-grey over ironstone bedrock.
