Tasting Notes
Semillon from Jeff Traeger’s organically farmed vineyard in Vine Vale, East of the Barossa. Vines grown on deep sand over clay soil with optimum diurnal temperature.
Grapes picked by hand & whole bunch tipped into a stainless tank to undergo a week of carbonic maceration. The bunches are then foot-stomped to release the juice & stop the carbonic effect on the aromatic. The tank is then closed until pressing three months later. Once pressed the juice is transferred in old French barrique to undergo seven months of elevage without ouillage. - Winemaker Note
